ESPN’s Football Power Index has updated Alabama football’s chances to make the College Football Playoff.
The Crimson Tide now have a 30 percent chance to make the playoff after beating Auburn, per ESPN FPI. The door remains slightly open for Alabama to sneak in, but it appears the outcome of the conference championship games will determine if the Tide gets a chance to do so.
Alabama’s most likely route to a playoff berth is to bump Miami from contention after the Hurricanes lost to Syracuse on Saturday.
