Alabama football saw their odds to reach the playoff rise after beating Auburn in the Iron Bowl and benefiting from an upset-filled rivalry weekend across college football.
The Crimson Tide did all they could’ve done to successfully bounce back Saturday and improved to 9-3 in their regular season finale. Alabama then received much needed help as No.12 Clemson fell to No. 15 South Carolina, and No.6 Miami received its second loss of the season in an upset defeat to Syracuse. These two results helped revamp the Tide’s College Football Playoff odds.
FanDuel currently has Alabama positioned at -118 to clinch a spot in this postseason’s 12-team bracket. These are the second best odds of the four highest potential teams still vying for the postseason (SMU -390, South Carolina +470, and Miami +750).
With no SEC title game to play for, Alabama now awaits Tuesday nights layout of the latest CFP field.
