Alabama football concluded its 2024 regular season on a high note with a 28-14 victory over Auburn in the Iron Bowl to improve to 9-3, but the Crimson Tide still currently find themselves on the outside looking in with a slim chance to still make the College Football Playoff.
The Crimson Tide’s offensive linemen, Tyler Booker firmly believes the Crimson Tide deserves a spot in the playoff. The junior and team captain made his case Monday during his weekly segment on “The Next Round.”
“I feel like the playoff is designed to have the 12 best teams in the country and if you turn on the film and think that Alabama’s not one of the 12 best teams in the country, I don’t know what you would define as the 12 best teams,” Booker said. “Because the schedule that we played and the talent that we have on our team, I definitely think that we’re one of the 12 best teams in the country. And our record might not be the prettiest but when Alabama comes to play, we are definitely one of the 12 best teams in the country.”
With no SEC title game to play for, Booker and Alabama sit idle this week as they await Tuesday night’s layout of the latest CFP field.
