Chuck McDonald made things official on Wednesday by signing with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
McDonald is from Santa Ana, California and plays for Mater Dei High School. Interestingly enough, McDonald is a former high school teammate of Alabama cornerback Zabien Brown. The two played alongside one another on the west coast and will reunite in Tuscaloosa. McDonald is regarded as a four-star prospect.
The California native possesses the ideal frame to play cornerback in Alabama’s defense. He is listed at 6-foot tall and 185 pounds. McDonald excels in man coverage and can make tackles on the perimeter when necessary. He will provide valuable depth in Alabama’s secondary next season and could develop into a promising cornerback in Alabama’s defense.
