Alabama football has landed another quarterback in a recruiting class that has elite potential.
Keelon Russell, a native of Duncanville, Texas, signed his national letter of intent Wednesday morning to join the University of Alabama for its 2025 signing class as a five-star. Russell, who won the Elite 11 Most Valuable Player honor, comes in the early signing period for the Crimson Tide and plans to take part in spring practice. The electric quarterback prospect is excited to get to work with Kalen DeBoer, but he is also excited to turn college football on its head. Russell was on Instagram live with Alabama wide receiver, Ryan Williams after he signed with the Tide. The young man sent a message for college football to be on notice.
“We going in here to take care of business…We going to do some crazy next year.”

“The plan is to get in there and win a national championship,” Russell said to Williams. “We are going in here to take care of business. … We are going to do something crazy next year.”
Russell is bringing big energy and confidence to the quarterback room, especially after his exceptional high school career.
Next spring is going to fun with him in all the action.
