Steve Mboumoua made things official on Wednesday by signing with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Mboumoua was originally slated to be a part of Alabama’s 2024 recruiting class. However, he needed to pass an English class before enrolling in Tuscaloosa. With that being the case, he decided to sign with Southwest Mississippi Community College. The Canada native spent one season in Summit. He is regarded as a three-star prospect and one of the top prospects at the junior college level.
Mboumoua is a physical specimen at 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds. He plays with strength and physicality. Despite not having played American football for long, he projects to be an impact player for the Crimson Tide. Another good thing for Mboumoua is that he can play multiple positions along the defensive line. That could allow him to see the field earlier than expected. The fact that he has a year of junior college under his belt could also help him see the field sooner than later.
