Kevonte Henry made things official on Wednesday by signing with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Henry hails from Lawndale, California. Coming out of high school, Henry enrolled at Oklahoma. He did not record any stats for the Sooners. He decided to take the junior college route and became one of the top prospects at the junior college level. Prior to flipping his commitment to Alabama, Henry was committed to Mississippi State.
He has the size at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds to potentially play ‘Bandit’ which is essentially an edge rusher or outside linebacker in Alabama’s defense. Henry has great bend and burst off the line of scrimmage often creating a disadvantage for opposing tackles. He uses his quickness and power to blow plays up before they get going. Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack could look to use Henry in a similar role to current Alabama Bandit LT Overton. Henry has a similar skillset as Overton. He will just need to add some muscle weight once he arrives on campus.
