Rap music icon takes jab at CFP Committee for Alabama in 12-team playoff over Miami

The College Football Playoff conversation has made it to the Hip-Hop community.

Miami QB Cam Ward takes shot at CFP Committee for having Alabama over ‘Canes in 12-team playoff

One of the pioneers of the genre created a lane all his own as a Miami (Fla.) native. Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell, was the front man behind 2 Live Crew. Campbell is a Miami Hurricanes fan and is heated with the CFP Committee for having Alabama in the 12-team playoff field over his team. He pointed to the Tide’s embarrassing loss to Oklahoma as the reason it should not be in.

Campbell shared a series of posts on X, ripping the committee and the Crimson Tide.

Miami (10-2) has a better overall record than Alabama (9-3); however, the Tide has more wins over top 25 ranked teams (three) and a better record versus teams with a winning record (6-1).

Alabama’s strength of schedule has it in the playoff field over Miami. The Hurricanes would not be in this frustrating situation if it would have beaten Syracuse, but it blew a 21-point lead last week.

Stephen A. Smith ‘disgusted’ with Alabama making 12-team CFP over Miami

Campbell will stew on this for a long time, but there is nothing he can do about it.
