Will the College Football Playoff Committee honor Alabama’s strength of schedule?
This is the question on the minds of Crimson Tide fans as Selection Sunday for the 12-team playoff starts at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN.
Alabama and Southern Methodist University are in a debate for a playoff spot.
The Tide have a better resume than the Mustangs, but SMU competed in the ACC Championship Game and fell short.
Conversation have started on X about who deserves to be in the playoff more between both schools. Ryan Anderson, a former linebacker for Alabama, tells the Tide to get ready for the Little Caesars Hot ‘N’ Ready Bowl. The former two-time national champion (2012, 2015) does not see his Alma mater getting selected for the playoff this time.
We lost to vandy and Oklahoma.. we going to the lil Caesars hot n ready bowl 🐘❤️🐘

If Alabama does not get it, people will point to its 3-24 loss to Oklahoma as the reason why.
A victory for the Tide over the Sooners would have positioned it to compete for a Southeastern Conference Championship and a first-round bye in the playoff had it won the SEC title. We will soon see what the CFP Committee has to say.
