The Alabama Crimson Tide were the first team left out of the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff. That seemed to arouse a lot of people and create some interesting takes around the sports world.
A lot of media personnel, coaches, and other observers were quick to provide their reaction to Alabama being left out on X.
As someone with access to college tape and staff of 11 former NFL scouts that logged hundreds of hours evaluating this CFB season, it's easy to see why SEC coaches are upset with final playoff bracket.
Based strictly off future NFL talent, Alabama, South Carolina, & Ole Miss…

Why does selecting Alabama over SMU minimize conference championship games?
Clemson WON to get in the CFP.

I get it. Bama had a bad loss to Oklahoma. But seriously. SMU is in a much worse conference and hasn't beaten anyone. Bama 16th toughest schedule. SMU 60th. Come on.

ZERO benefit to good non-con games anymore… the committee sent that message loud and clear…. @Greg_Byrne and the PTB need to evaluate how to cancel these games in the future

I’m taking Alabama, South Carolina, and Ole Miss over SMU any day of the week, seven days a week.
