One of Nick Saban’s best friends and mentors is coming to college football for the first time in his career.

Several reports came out about Bill Belichick wanting an opportunity to coach an Atlantic Coast Conference program, but it has now become an official for the eight-time Super Bowl Champion and NFL legend. The 72-year-old is the head coach for the University of North Carolina.

He won six Super Bowls as a head coach for the New England Patriots, but Belichick is ready to try his expertise in molding young athletes at the collegiate level. He looks to master name, image, and likeness (NIL) and the transfer portal as college football has some elements to the National Football League that Belichick is familiar with.

Saban leaned on Belichick for advice during his time in the NFL, but will Belichick go to arguably the greatest head coach in college football history to wisdom? We will see.
