The University of Alabama football program got recognized by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and Walter Camp Football Foundation (WCFF).
Alabama had a trio of student-athletes named to the AFCA All-America Team as second-team honorees.

Tyler Booker (offensive lineman), Malachi Moore (defensive back), and Ryan Williams (wide receiver) were honored.
Tyler Booker
- A consistent presence along the Crimson Tide offensive line
- Added leadership to an Alabama offensive attack that averaged 35.5 points per game, tied for the 16th-best mark in the FBS.
- Provided key blocks for an Alabama rushing unit that averaged 182.7 yards per game
- Recorded 93 knockdown blocks across 715 snaps in 12 games to average 7.6 per contest as graded by the UA coaching staff
- According to Pro Football Focus, he did not allow a sack in 176 passing opportunities in his 12 starts
Malachi Moore
- A steady playmaker in the Alabama secondary
- His 70 tackles are the third-highest total among Crimson Tide players, while his 40 solo stops are second-most
- Contributed three tackles for loss (-6 yards), one sack (-3 yards), three quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery
- Also managed two interceptions and a team-leading eight pass breakups from his safety position
Ryan Williams
- Leads Alabama in receiving yards (857), receiving touchdowns (8) and is second in receptions (45) in his first season at the Capstone
- His 857 receiving yards is second among all rookies in Division I, as are his eight touchdown catches
- Owns a 19.04 yards per catch average, ranking sixth in the Southeastern Conference and 18th in the FBS
- Produced 53 rushing yards on four carries with two touchdowns
- Contributed 82 punt return yards on 10 attempts
Booker and Moore are permanent team captains, while Williams is a talented freshman.
Nick Saban was advocate for former assistant to potentially be North Carolina’s head coach
Williams made the Freshman All-SEC team with Zabien Brown.
Booker, a junior offensive guard, also made second-team All-American for Walter Camp Football Foundation.
All three players are preparing to face Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl on Dec. 31 in Tampa, Fla.
