Domani Jackson highlights what stands out about Tide new CB signees

Domani Jackson is excited to have more West Coast blood in Alabama football’s cornerbacks’ room.

Jackson is having an impressive season in his first year with the Crimson Tide. He has two interceptions on the season to go along with seven pass deflections.

Alabama signed two cornerbacks from Jackson’s old stomping grounds in California’s Chuck McDonald and Dijon Lee earlier this month.

Jackson thinks highly of both.

“DJ (Dijon Lee) is obviously a huge corner. His length is great. He’s kind of similar to ZB (Zabien Brown),” Jackson said. “Chuck, he’s a big physical corner. So, I mean four Cali dudes in one room.”

Both prospects have been productive at their respective high schools. Jackson feels their experience playing in California should have them prepared to transition into playing college football.

“Coming out of programs like Mater Dei, Mission Viejo, high school ball is pretty much similar to college ball when you play in that conference over there,” said Jackson. “So, I mean they’re used to physicality and stuff like that. It’s just honestly crazy. I grew up with DJ. He was a little kid asking for gloves.”

Having two starting cornerbacks from California served Alabama well this season.
