Alabama has landed a commitment from Miami transfer wide receiver Isaiah Horton. Horton entered the transfer portal on Monday.
Horton spent three seasons in Coral Gables. Over the course of his career, he reeled in 70 receptions for 790 yards and six touchdowns. The Tennessee native was the Hurricanes third-leading wide receiver during the 2024 season. As a redshirt sophomore, Horton had 56 receptions for 616 yards and five touchdowns.
This is definitely big news for the Crimson Tide as the coaching staff aims to build the strongest possible roster for the 2025 season. Horton is a big-bodied, wide receiver at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds. He has a wide catch radius and is a threat to score anytime the ball touches his hands.
With Alabama losing multiple wide receivers to the transfer portal, Horton’s addition becomes much more significant. He adds firepower to an Alabama wide receiver room that is expected to be one of the team’s strengths next season.
Horton is the fourth transfer to commit to the Crimson Tide as a part of the ’25 recruiting class. The other three are offensive lineman Kam Dewberry (Texas A&M), Kelby Collins (Florida), and Cam Calhoun (Utah). His presence and skillset along with the talent that Alabama already has at wide receiver should bode well for the offense in 2025. This is a huge pickup for Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide.
