Tristen Keys is interested in getting a better look at Alabama football after earning an offer from the Crimson Tide.
Keys is a five-star 2026 wide receiver prospect out of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
The Crimson Tide offered the Mississippi product in September, and the offer sparked the interest of the talented pass catcher.
Alabama’s wide receiver coach JaMarcus Shephard looks to have put the Tide in position to have a chance to make a push for Keys in the future.
“I had a lot of great talks with him,” Keys told Touchdown Alabama. “He came to visit me at my school, and that’s my guy, very energetic guy, and that’s what I like from a receiver coach. Someone I could chill with every day, and we just have fun, and when it’s time to be serious, be serious.”
Keys is looking to take a visit to Alabama in or around January after having to back off of trip to Tuscaloosa for the Georgia game during the 2024 season.
Alabama played a good amount of freshmen during the 2024 regular season with its breakout first-year player being at wide receiver with Ryan Williams capturing a lot of attention. This is something Keys brought up while discussing Alabama at the Under All-America Game Media Day.
“I like they played a lot of freshmen this year,” said Keys. “Those freshmen contributed to the team. Things didn’t go their way this year, but that’s football, new coaching staff. I still think they did pretty good and worked pretty hard.”
The Tide’s tradition of developing wide receivers is another thing Keys is looking at while looking at Alabama a possible option for him.
“They produce a lot of great receivers, and it’s a lot of WRUs, but I feel like that’s one of them. They have produced a lot of first-round receivers.”
Keys is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound playmaker at wide receiver, who explodes out of his release off the line of scrimmage with the ability to create separation by a deceptive route runner.
