All signs point to Alabama football trending upwards with Florida 2026 linebacker, Izayia Williams.
Williams is a four-star linebacker prospect out of Tavares High School in Tavares, Florida.
The junior shared Alabama was one of the schools recruiting him the hardest at the Under Armour All-America Game’s media day on Sunday.
“When I think about Alabama, I think about all the great stuff that happened there,” Williams said. “They’re winners.
So, it’s like who doesn’t want to be a part of winning?”
Alabama will host the four-star for an unofficial visit on Feb. 1. He is interested in returning for an official visit in the future with a summer commitment timeframe in mind.
The Florida product has watched the Tide’s defense this season and is a fan of how they use their linebackers.
“I like their scheme,” Williams told Touchdown Alabama. “I like how they use two linebackers. That shows they have confidence in their linebackers. I like watching Jihaad (Campbell) and D Law (Deontae Lawson) play. They all play.”
Campbell has talked with the four-star in the past.
“It was good like talking to him because that’s a player,” Williams said. “He can tell you the real.”
The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder finished his junior season with 137 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and six sacks. He shined with his ability to get after the football in space and drop back to defend the pass.
