Alabama starting LB declares for NFL Draft

On Thursday afternoon, Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell announced his intentions of entering the 2025 NFL Draft on his Instagram account.

Campbell was a do-it-all player for the Alabama defense in 2024. He led the Crimson Tide with 119 tackles. In addition, Campbell tallied five sacks, two pass deflections, two forced fumbles, an interception, and a fumble recovery.

The New Jersey native is expected to be drafted in the mid to late first round by most draft experts. His ability to play multiple roles on defense is something that created a lot of value for him over the course of the 2024 season.

This is something that the coaching staff expected. Campbell will be one of the first defensive players taken off the board during this year’s draft. He had a great career in Tuscaloosa and will look to do the same at his next stop in the NFL.
