Alabama 6-foot-5 OL signee wants to earn starting spot

micah DEBOSE

Micah DeBose is ready to start his collegiate football career and represents his home state at the University of Alabama.

DeBose is an early enrollee for the Crimson Tide and a former four-star offensive lineman out of Theodore High School. The Alabama native is excited about his future in Tuscaloosa and plans to add some more competition to the Tide’s offensive line room.

“It feels good,” DeBose told Touchdown Alabama during the Under Armour All-America Game week while discussing signing with Tide. “We have a great class coming in. We got Keelon Russell.
He was throwing dots. We got Mal Waldrep, he is another good lineman, Michael Carroll. We got a good class coming…I’m coming to work. I want to earn a starting spot, and I’m just really excited to get to college.”

DeBose had his first opportunity to block for his future quarterback, Keelon Russell, last week during the All-America game and practice. He spoke glowingly about the five-star after practicing with him the first time.

“
He is definitely the future of Alabama. He was throwing a beautiful ball,” said DeBose. “I don’t think he threw one dud. He is just a phenomenal player, great to see him in person, great blocking for him too.”

DeBose is considered one of the most versatile offensive lineman prospects in the 2025 recruiting class. He has the potential to line up at guard at tackle for Alabama at 6-foot-5 and more than 300 pounds.
