Everything is on the line for the Miami Dolphins who are trying to pry its way into the playoffs needing a win over the New York Jets along with a Denver Bronco loss.
A big question throughout the week has been if quarterback Tua Tagovailoa would be able to rejoin the team for its Week 18 matchup. Tagovailoa missed last week’s game after suffering a hip injury against the Houston Texans. Fortunately for Miami, backup Snoop Huntley was able to step in and get the 20-3 win over the Cleveland Browns.
But it looks like Huntley will be suiting up again to try and keep Miami’s season alive as Tagovailoa was officially ruled out by the team a little over an hour before kickoff.
Tagovailoa will now finish the regular season passing for 2,867 yards, 19 passing touchdowns and completing a career high 72.9% of his passes in 11 games of action. Along with missing the previous two games, Tagovailoa missed three at the start of the season after suffering a concussion in a Week 2 matchup with the Buffalo Bills.
Miami will now be relying on Huntley and hoping the cards land in their favor with a Denver loss later today.
