Former Alabama safety Nick Perry is returning to the SEC but as an assistant coach this time around. Perry has been hired as the new defensive backs coach at Arkansas.
The Alabama native most recently served as a defensive assistant for the Seattle Seahawks during the 2024 season. Prior to that, Perry served on several different coaching staffs including Alabama and the Atlanta Falcons.
Perry played for Alabama from 2010-2014. He won two national titles during his time in Tuscaloosa. He played in 44 games and recorded 121 tackles for the Crimson Tide.
It will be interesting to see how Perry fares in Fayetteville. He is one of several former Alabama players that have gone on to pursue coaching careers.
