Alabama football’s coaching staff is making the state of Alabama a priority after Auburn and other college programs snagged some of the state’s best talent during the 2024 cycle.
Kalen DeBoer and several members of his Alabama staff were scattered around the state to kick off the January contact period. One of their more glaring visits was to see Zyan Gibson, a four-star defensive back out of Gadsden City, who is committed to Alabama. Kalen DeBoer, Nick Sheridan (offensive coordinator), Courtney Morgan (General Manager) and Maurice Linguist (Defensive Backs Coach) made the trip.

The Tide’s staff also made their way to see Cederian Morgan, the top wide receiver in the state in the 2026 class. He is a target for Alabama who schools across the country would love to have. Anthony Jones, a five-star linebacker out of Mobile, also received a visit from the Tide.

Multiple other in-state recruits shared they received visits from Alabama, including Jamarion Matthews, Hezekiah Harris and Jabarrius Garror.
All signs point to Kalen DeBoer and Alabama looking to make their presence felt inside of the state.
