Isaiah Bond sends thank you statement to Alabama in NFL Draft declaration

Former Alabama wide receiver, Isaiah Bond has officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Bond confirmed his decision via X on Tuesday, just a week after the Texas Longhorns were eliminated by the Ohio State Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff Semifinals. Bond took the time out to send a special thank you statement to former head coach, Nick Saban and the Alabama faithful.

“There is no greater Coach, Educator, or Mentor than the legendary coach Saban,” Bond said in his statement. “I’d like to thank him and the entire University of Alabama coaching staff, former teammates, and unforgettable fans. I left my childhood home to be a part of your great institution, thank you for wrapping your arms around me and instilling life lessons in me. #RollTide”

Bond reeled in 34 receptions for 540 yards and six touchdowns for the Longhorns, after transferring from Alabama in January of 2024. In his two seasons in Tuscaloosa, Bond appeared in 27 games and totaled 888 yards to go along with 65 receptions for five touchdowns. He helped create one of the more meaningful plays in Alabama football history with him being on the receiving end of the fourth-and-31 touchdown pass from Jalen Milroe in the 2023 Iron Bowl to win the game.
