Seth McLaughlin reveals how he bounced back from struggles at Alabama

Ohio State’s offensive lineman, Seth McLaughlin went from struggling with snapping the football consistently at Alabama to winning the Rimington Trophy with Ohio State in the span of a year.

McLaughlin transferred from Alabama after the 2023 season. He told AL.com this was the lowest point in his career, and he needed Ohio State’s players and coaches to lift him up.

“To pick me back up from where I was, at the lowest point of my career, I needed a lot of love and support, (to) instill my confidence in me again,” McLaughlin said.

The former Alabama center also discussed how he felt he didn’t show his true self during his last year in Tuscaloosa.

“I knew in my heart that I could be the best center in college football and I didn’t think last season was a reflection of that, what I could do,” said McLaughlin. “So just being in a new environment and a new system with new guys around me, I think I really blossomed.”
