Will Anderson said he and the Houston Texans went into their matchup against the Chiefs not expecting love from the referees.
Kansas City defeated Houston 23-14 Saturday to advance to the AFC Conference Championship game.
Anderson’s comments about the Texans’ approach to the game has captured a lot of attention.
“We knew it was going to be us against the refs going into this game,” Anderson told media members after the game. “I talked to our guys earlier this week. I was just telling them, We got to go out there, and we got to do better. In some instances, we didn’t do that. Some instances, we did. We just got to keep going, man. Next offseason, get the guys together, everybody just coming together and just keep building that team chemistry.”
Anderson and the Texans will look to continue to build on two good seasons under DeMeco Ryans.
