Alabama LB gives timetable for his return from injury

Alabama linebacker, Deontae Lawson provided an update on how long he will be out after suffering a season-ending ‘lower-extremity’ injury against Oklahoma during the 2024 season. 

Lawson is staying at Alabama for another season after deciding not to enter the NFL Draft. 

The Crimson Tide Sports Network recently sat down with Lawson to discuss the 2024 season and his future. He updated the timeframe for his return to action during the interview and shared he will miss spring practice. 

“It will be until fall camp, definitely,” Lawson said. “Yeah, it’ll be until fall camp. I’ll definitely try to stay around as much as I can.”

The Mobile, Alabama native was a captain for the Tide on last season, finishing the year with 76 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.
