2026 four-star athlete Heze Kent narrowed his list of finalists down to five schools on Friday evening. Alabama, Florida, Miami (FL), Texas, and Florida State made the cut. Kent confirmed the news via his Instagram story.

Kent plays for Brunswick High School in Brunswick, Georgia. He is listed at 6-foot-7 and 285 pounds. During his junior season, he played multiple offensive positions including quarterback, running back, tight end, and was occasionally used as an offensive lineman. He accumulated over 1,000 all-purpose yards and 16 touchdowns.

Originally, Alabama did not make Kent’s top schools list. Kalen DeBoer and the coaching staff have made Kent feel like a priority in the ‘26 class. That is one of the reasons why the Crimson Tide were in his top schools list.

He is a dual sport athlete for his high school. He is arguably one of the top overall athletes in the ‘26 class. It will be interesting to see if and when Alabama can get him on campus. Kent has the size to be a college tight end as it stands and will continue to develop his skillset for the college level.
