Former Alabama defensive lineman and current Washington Commander Daron Payne will miss the NFC Championship due to a knee and finger injury.
Payne played in 17 games this season. He recorded 42 tackles, five tackles for loss, and four sacks for the Commanders.
The Commanders had been missing former Alabama defensive lineman Jonathan Allen for the majority of the season due to an elbow injury. However, he was able to return in time for the playoffs. Now, the Commanders take another sizable blow as Payne will be unable to suit up on Sunday afternoon against the Philadelphia Eagles.
