Jalen Hurts breaks NFL playoff record en route to leading Eagles to Super Bowl

The Philadelphia Eagles’ starting quarterback, Jalen Hurts made NFL history on Sunday afternoon against the Washington Commanders en route to winning the NFC championship and leading his team back to the Super Bowl.

Hurts scored three rushing touchdowns and passed Hall of Fame quarterback, Steve Young for most touchdowns scored by quarterback in postseason history. He completed the hat trick in the fourth quarter when he scored his third rushing touchdown of the game with 12:24 remaining.

The former Alabama quarterback would rush for three of Philadelphia’s seven rushing touchdowns on 10 carries for 16 yards, while completing 20-of-28 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown.

Hurts and the Eagles would go on to defeat Washington by a score of 55-23 and officially advance to their second Super Bowl in the past three seasons.
