Pat Surtain II says he is open to playing offensive position next season

Denver Broncos two-time first-team All-Pro defensive back, Pat Surtain II is open to playing on the offensive side of the ball and taking snaps at wide receiver next season.

Surtain II has been considered one of the NFL’s best technicians at the cornerback position since entering the NFL. He has recorded 148 solo tackles, 47 pass deflections, 11 interceptions, two forced fumbles, two defensive touchdowns and has been selected to three consecutive Pro Bowls during his first seasons in the NFL.

The lockdown cornerback is now willing to try his hand at wide receiver in the Broncos offense in his fifth season.

“Put me at receiver,” Surtain II recently said. “Let me make a couple plays here and there. I could do it. Whatever route you need me to, whatever you need me to do, I’m there… Me at receiver is very dynamic.”

At 6-foot-2, and 202 pounds Surtain II definitely has the size of a prototype NFL wideout in today’s game.
