Alabama feels like ‘home away from home’ to in-state 4-Star commit

Alabama football and Zyan Gibson continue to grow their bond as the Tide pledge made his way back to Tuscaloosa on Saturday.

Gibson is a 2026 consensus four-star defensive back out of Gadsden City High School. He is currently verbally committed to Alabama.

The Alabama native chose Alabama over Miami, Tennessee and others.

Gibson said he and his family enjoyed getting back to the University over the weekend.

“It’s was great being back,” Gibson told Touchdown Alabama. “We had a great time. It’s always that way. It’s my home away from home. The coaches and staff do a good job making a feel that way.”

Gibson is listed at 6-foot-1 and 174 pounds. He has elite verified speed with a PR of 10.63 in the 100-meter dash, and he displays his explosive burst on both sides of the ball for Gadsden City.
