Alabama linebacker, Jihaad Campbell is firmly in the mix to be the first linebacker taken in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Campbell was the tone setter in the middle of the Crimson Tide defense last season, a defense that ranked eighth among all of college football.
The IMG Academy recorded an interception, two forced fumbles, five sacks and 117 total tackles in 2024. This production has many NFL talent evaluators and Pro Football Focus analyst, Dalton Wasserman beginning to tab Campbell as potentially being the first player selected at his position this April.
“Campbell put himself in a position to potentially be the first linebacker selected in this year’s draft due to his performance in 2024,” Wasserman said.
Campbell will have a chance to solidify himself as the top linebacker in this class if he chooses to compete in the NFL scouting combine approaching on February 27th and the Alabama Crimson Tide Pro Day scheduled to take place in March.
