Former Alabama commit and 2025 four-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood has signed with Michigan. Haywood had been committed to the Crimson Tide for six months before reopening his recruitment.
Haywood was expected to be a key piece of Alabama’s ‘25 recruiting class before things fell through. NIL was reportedly a factor in Haywood’s decision to decommit.
The Texas native ultimately chose the Wolverines over Florida State and Texas Tech.
Alabama is not expected to sign any additional prospects in the ‘25 class. The coaching staff will continue to assess the roster and evaluate players in the transfer portal when the spring window opens up.
Haywood was once a cornerstone piece of Alabama’s recruiting class. However, he will now suit up for the ‘maize and blue’ to begin his college football career.
