Hawaii 6-foot-7 OT puts Alabama in top 6

Alabama was listed as one of six finalists to land the commitment of 2026 four-star offensive tackle Malakai Lee on Friday afternoon. The other five schools in the mix are BYU, Georgia, Michigan, Texas, and USC.

Lee was offered by the old and new Alabama coaching staffs. The Hawaii native has a lot to like at 6-foot-7 and 318 pounds. He possesses a wide wingspan that amplifies his ability to excel in pass protection and finish blocks.

The product of Kamehameha School will be a target that the Alabama coaching staff will continue to monitor over the course of his senior season. The coaching staff will likely push for Lee to take an official visit. It will be interesting to see if he makes it to Tuscaloosa from Honolulu.
