Alabama football’s offensive lineman target, Bear McWhorter is getting close to announcing a commitment decision.
McWhorter is a 2026 four-star offensive lineman out of Cass High School in Georgia. He is currently getting recruited by Alabama, Arkansas, Florida State, Michigan and others.

The junior confirmed to Touchdown Alabama Sunday a decision should be coming from him soon.
“A lot of different things, relationships is a big one, just who I’m hearing from, who I can see myself playing for,” McWhorter said when asked what factors he will weigh when making his decision. “Then just sitting down and praying about it, thinking about it, like, where do I see myself fitting in? Because I feel like I’ve seen everything I need to see on visits.”
Alabama was the latest school to host McWhorter for a visit, and he shared the Tide were in a strong place for him.
“They’re in really strong standing,” said McWhorter. “I feel great about them at this point in my recruitment.”
At 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, McWhorter is an agile offensive lineman, who shines at the guard position with his ability to work to the second level and be physical in the trenches in the run game.
