Several former Alabama players are set to hit the free agency market this offseason. With the 2024 season coming to an end on Sunday, teams will begin evaluating and assessing upcoming free agents. Free agents are able to begin signing with other teams starting March 12 at 3 p.m. CDT.

The former Alabama players that are set to become unrestricted free agents are running back Najee Harris, wide receiver Amari Cooper, cornerback Tony Brown, center Bradley Bozeman, defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand, safety Ronnie Harrison Jr., quarterback Mac Jones, center Ryan Kelly, nose tackle Jarran Reed, offensive tackle Cam Robinson, punter JK Scott, tight end Irv Smith Jr., and offensive tackle Jedrick Wills. Unrestricted free agents are free to sign with any team.

Two former Alabama players are set to be restricted free agents. Those two are guard Lester Cotton and Josh Jobe. According to Pro Football Network, restricted free agents are players with three years of accrued NFL seasons. Unlike unrestricted free agents, restricted FAs can have their markets limited due to four different tenders. A team that places a tender on a restricted free agent can match an offer sheet from another club. If a draft pick value is attached to the tender, the original team can receive compensation if it lets the player walk.

Out of the group, Robinson and Harris will likely command the most money. Both of them have had successful stints with their respective teams. Cooper, Wills, and Kelly will be highly sought after as well given their success in the NFL and experience.

Needless to say, it will be interesting to see where each of them ends up signing with for the 2025 season and potentially beyond.
