Alabama football’s new offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb wants the Crimson Tide to attack on offense in 2025.
Grubb comes to Tuscaloosa with an opportunity to assist Kalen DeBoer with continuing the level of success Alabama football has enjoyed for more than a decade. The veteran college offensive coordinator wants to take advantage of this opportunity by having an explosive offensive attack.
“We should be able to push the ball down the field,” Grubb said. “We should be able to finish runs and block in an explosive manner that I think, will really show what we want this offense to look like from a standpoint that we want people to be threatened with the football down the field. We want teams to have to understand that if you don’t play two-high (defense), and you give us the opportunity, if you load the box up, we’re going to make you pay with the ball going down the field. And then at the same time when they do put shell coverage out there, and they’re respecting your throw game, you’ve got to be able to punish them in the run game, and that’s something that we certainly want to do.”
The Alabama faithful will get their first glimpse at Ryan Grubb’s spin on the Tide’s offense in the spring.
