Can Alabama sign a top quarterback a year after landing Keelon Russell?

Alabama football is now faced with the challenge of signing another great quarterback after signing Keelon Russell in the 2025 class.

The desire to play early combined with the opportunity to get a significant NIL package could make this task a bit more challenging than in years past.

Alabama football has offered five 2026 quarterbacks. Three of them are committed elsewhere at the moment. Five-star quarterbacks, Jared Curtis and Ryder Lyons, are the Tide’s uncommitted targets.

The Tide is arguably in the best position with Curtis when it comes to their current targets. The former Georgia commit has Alabama in his top six and received a visit from both Kalen DeBoer and Nick Sheridan in January.

Alabama is expected to stay in the mix with Curtis for the foreseeable future.

It is very possible Alabama will sign a 2026 quarterback it has not offered yet.

Keelon Russell did not receive an Alabama offer until April.

There will most definitely be other names emerge when it comes to the Tide recruiting the quarterback position if its current offer list of signal callers trend away.

A name to watch out for is Landon Duckworth out of Jackson High School in Alabama. He is a dual-threat quarterback with a strong arm and athleticism, and he holds offers from Georgia, Florida State, Ole Miss and others. The Tide will have to offer him sooner than later if they want to be involved.

The quarterback position will for sure be one of the more intriguing storylines of the Tide’s 2026 recruiting efforts
