Arch Manning was heavily considering Alabama football before committing and signing with the Texas Longhorns.
Manning for sure considered multiple factors before choosing the Longhorns. One of those reasons was his ability to be unrecognizable at times outside of football. The former five-star’s younger brother revealed this in a recent interview with 247 Sports.
“I remember him asking a lot of questions away from football,” Heid Manning said. “Nothing about NIL dollars or the NFL…He was asking, ‘Am I going to be able to get away and maybe go somewhere where people don’t recognize me as much?'” And out of Athens, Tuscaloosa and Austin, it’s easily Austin for that.”
Manning is expected to be Texas’ starting quarterback next season. Alabama has a three-way quarterback battle on its hands.
