Alabama makes in-state wide receiver a priority

Corey Barber is feeling a push from Alabama football after earning an offer from the Crimson Tide earlier this month.

Barber attends Spain Park High School in Alabama. He is one of the hotter recruits in the nation with recent offers from Alabama and Georgia. He plans to visit both programs along with other schools in the spring.

“For spring visits, I got Georgia, Ole Miss Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi State,” Barber told Touchdown Alabama.

The Crimson Tide will get him back on campus on March 22nd. Alabama’s staff is staying in heavy contact with him at the moment.

“Me, Shep (JaMarcus Shephard) and coach Roach, we stay in touch a lot,” Barber said. “They really push hard. They show me real love. That is one of the places I could probably see myself calling home. They told me they made me one of their top priorities.”

Alabama players, Jaylen Mbakwe and Ryan Williams have also been in contact with Barber. Mbakwe is a former teammate of the Alabama target.

“They told me to go ahead and come home,” said Barber. “They told me that is where I need to be.”

Barber was a dangerous weapon during the 2024 season. He finished the year with 1,429 yards and 17 touchdowns on 74 receptions. He has the ability to create separation while running routes and be productive after the catch.

The Spain Park was just as dangerous Saturday when Touchdown Alabama saw him in action The Sevens 7v7 Tournament.
