Alabama football will welcome players returning to action from injury on both sides of the ball in 2025.
The Crimson Tide will return multiple veteran defenders. Alabama will also regain the services of a pair of talented pass catchers to help revamp their wide receiving core under new offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb and their new starting quarterback in 2025.
Here is a look at four major returns for Alabama.
Deontae Lawson:
Lawson has been a key part of Alabama’s defense the past two seasons, often being recognized for his leadership. The fifth year, linebacker returns to Tuscaloosa with championship intentions after recording an interception, two sacks, four pass breakups, and 76 tackles as a redshirt junior before suffering a season-ending leg injury against Oklahoma.
Keon Sabb:
Sabb returns to the Alabama secondary after reeling in two interceptions, four pass deflections and 34 tackles in seven games before being ruled out for the season with a broken foot. Sabb’s return will provide a veteran presence among a Crimson Tide defense that possesses strong continuity with nine returning starters.
Cole Adams:
Adams carved out a role in the Crimson Tide’s special teams department as a returner and receiver on offense early on in his redshirt sophomore season. Adams appeared in six contest and reeled in six receptions for 94 yards before a suffering a season-ending lower-body injury versus South Carolina.
Jalen Hale:
Hale missed all of the 2024 season with a lower-body injury after flashing as a true freshman in 2023, recording five receptions for 148 yards and one touchdown. The 6-foot-2, former four-star talent from Longview, Texas has returned to practice and was recently seen working during the Crimson Tide’s off-season training program.
