Somourian Wingo is very interested in learning more about Alabama football after earning an offer in January.

Wingo is a product of St. Augustine High School in Florida. He garners a four-star rating from most recruiting sites. The Crimson Tide is one of the latest programs to offer the Florida product, extending the offer at the end of last month.

The four-star is interested in learning more about the Tide after earning the offer.

“I’m very interested,” Wingo told Touchdown Alabama. “I’m working on getting the official visit set up with Coach (JaMarcus) Shephard.”

Alabama’s staff is hoping they can build a relationship with Wingo with them coming on later than other prominent teams in his recruitment.

”They know that they got on late, and they are really interested,” Wingo said.

Wingo went on to explain his interest in the Tide.

“It is Alabama. It is a great program. Everything is great. They produce good players all around.
It’s just a great team.”

An official visit to Alabama is on the table for Wingo. He wants to be committed after taking all of his officials.

“It definitely think it is a high percentage,” Wingo said when asked about the chances of the Tide getting an official from him. “They are a good team. The relationship is getting built with the receiver’s coach, and I know I’ll be developed.”

At 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, Wingo has shown the ability to make contested catches on a consistent basis.

The four-star finished the 2025 season with 79 receptions for 1,119 yards and 14 touchdowns.
