Alabama roster will be anchored by in-state talent for 2025 season

The Alabama football program will be led on both sides of the ball by in-state talent during the 2025 season. The Crimson Tide have 22 players on its roster that are from the Yellowhammer state. That is almost 28% of the roster that is in-state talent. 

Offensively, Alabama has eight players from the state of Alabama. On defense, there are 14 players that hail from Alabama. The Alabama coaching staff realizes the importance of having ‘homegrown’ talent. It is essential that the coaching staff prides itself in building the roster around players that grew up Alabama fans or reside in the state of Alabama.

Several of Alabama’s best players heading into the 2025 season are Deontae Lawson, Ryan Williams, Tim Keenan III, and LT Overton. All of which played at high schools across the state of Alabama. 

In the past, there have a multitude of in-state products that have had promising college careers at The Capstone. Several notable players are AJ McCarron, Quinnen Williams, Julio Jones, Mark Barron, and C.J. Mosley. 

The group of Alabama natives are sure to help anchor the Crimson Tide during the 2025 season.
