CBS Sports analyst, Brad Crawford believes the 2025 Alabama quarterback competition will be one of the most intriguing position battles to monitor across college football this spring.
Kalen DeBoer and Ryan Grubb find themselves tasked with measuring the play of a talented trio of quarterbacks this offseason. This corp of passers consists of Ty Simpson, Austin Mack, and incoming five-star freshman Keelon Russell.
Crawford projects redshirt junior, Ty Simpson will be named as the next Alabama starting quarterback in 2025.
Simpson has completed 14 of 25 pass attempts for 167 yards while rushing for 44 yards and a touchdown in limited action last season. This season, expect Simpson to have ample opportunities alongside the rest of Alabama’s quarterback room to solidify himself as the answer for Grubb and the Crimson Tide offense in 2025.
