Former Alabama quarterback Blake Sims has been hired as the new wide receivers coach at West Alabama. The team’s official X account posted the announcement on Thursday afternoon.

Sims will reunite with former Alabama strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran. Cochran was hired as the new head coach at West Alabama in February.

Most recently, Sims served as an assistant coach at Mt. Bethel Christian Academy in Marietta, Georgia.

In addition to Sims, Cochran is also adding former Alabama running back Ronnie Clark to his coaching staff. Clark will serve as the Tigers new running backs coach.

It will be intriguing to see how Sims and Clark do as assistant coaches in Livingston as a part of Cochran’s coaching staff.
