Alabama adds young talented coach to defensive staff

bds led night lights

Alabama is adding Illinois State defensive backs coach Tevin Madison to its defensive coaching staff as a defensive analyst. John Brice of Football Scoop was the first to report on the news.

Madison is a native of Fayette, Alabama which is located almost 50 minutes north of Tuscaloosa. During his college career, Madison played at Texas Tech for three seasons before transferring to West Alabama for his senior year.

Throughout his coaching career, Madison has served as an assistant coach at Southeast Missouri State, Kansas State, and most recently at Illinois State.

Earlier this offseason, Alabama hired former Crimson Tide defensive back Jason Jones as assistant defensive backs coach.

With the addition of Jones and now Madison, it should certainly help Alabama on the recruiting trail. The two are familiar with the state and the need for in-state talent.
