Former Washington wide receiver and now Alabama wideout Germie Bernard is familiar with playing in a Ryan Grubb offense.
Bernard played under Grubb in 2023 as a member of the Washington Huskies. The Nevada product pulled in 34 receptions for 419 yards and two touchdowns playing in a loaded wide receiver group.
Grubb’s play-calling style is something Bernard feels is one of the ‘most important’ Grubb traits
“He just wants the best out of everybody,” Bernard said. “He coaches everybody hard. And then, most importantly, he’s just aggressive with the way that he calls plays. He’s not afraid to take any chances, take any shots.”
Grubb detailed his aggressive playing style earlier this week.
“We’re going to be aggressive,” Grubb said. “We’ve got to be responsible with the football. Not go backwards, make sure we’re always matriculating the ball down the field and being ready for the opportunity to take the shot.”
