Former Alabama running back Najee Harris inked a one-year deal in NFL free agency with the Los Angeles Chargers. The deal is reportedly worth $9.25-million dollars.
The former Heisman Trophy finalist has spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
During that time, Harris rushed for over 1,000 yards in each season. The California native has amassed over 1,000 carries and 22 touchdowns as well.
There is certainly a lower market for running backs than it has been in years past. Nevertheless, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh prides himself in having teams that have an efficient rushing attack. Now, the Chargers have two options at the running back position in Harris and teammate JK Dobbins.
It is also worth noting that Harris will team up with former Alabama players Bradley Bozeman, Justin Eboigbe, and JK Scott in Los Angeles.
