Bray Hubbard was left speechless when asked about the Alabama Crimson Tide’s freshman defensive back, Dijon Lee.
Lee is a former five-star defensive back, who is listed at 6-foot-4 on the Tide’s 2025 roster. He is easily the Tide’s tallest cornerback as he is easy to spot when watching Alabama practice.
Alabama’s safety Bray Hubbard was asked had he seen a cornerback like Lee by reporters, and his answer was short and direct.
“No,” Hubbard quickly said. “That dude, he’s long. Great player. That’s what you want to have out there. A guy like him, super long. He’s fast for as long as he is. I’ve never seen a corner that big. I’m honestly speechless on what to say. He is tall. He’s long.”
The Tide’s defensive coordinator Kane Wommack recently revealed the plan is to play Lee at cornerback.
“He looks like a corner right now,” Wommack said. “He just looks like a really long-ass corner. He’s got really good feet. He’s got a maturity that reminds me a little bit of Zabian (Brown). I don’t want to put too much pressure on him too early, but he has a demeanor that would indicate that a freshman could come in and contribute. Mo (Maurice Linguist) does such a great job with just the discipline and detail of those guys in the position. I think he had a pick today, which was great, but he gave up a ball today as well. So those are the give and take of how will he respond to that as spring ball goes on.”
Alabama will resume spring practice next week, and Lee will look to continue to impress.
