Alabama football’s newest wide receiver addition via the transfer portal Isaiah Horton has been a consistent pass catcher throughout his college career.
Horton transferred to Alabama at the conclusion of the 2024 season. He pulled in 70 receptions for 790 yards and six touchdowns during three years with the Hurricanes.
One of the more impressive stats Horton has compiled in his college career so far is recording only four drops on 100 targets, which Pro Football Focus highlighted on Tuesday.
Horton has many excited about his future in Tuscaloosa including his new teammate and fellow wideout, Germie Bernard.
“I think with him we’re gonna be able to do a lot of great things. He can stretch the field, he can catch the ball, and make contested catches,” Bernard said, “I’m very excited to play beside him.”
The Crimson Tide’s head coach Kalen DeBoer feels Horton came to Tuscaloosa to be challenged.
“He’s been out there. The lights aren’t going to be too bright for him. You can see just his focus in the phase of workouts that we had. It’s important to him,” DeBoer said, “He came here for a reason because he wanted to be pushed. He wanted to be challenged. He wanted to come around here.”
