Why Alabama needs to learn to handle success better in 2025

In 2024, Alabama struggled to handle success well. The Crimson Tide followed up thrilling victories against Georgia and South Carolina at home with road losses to Vanderbilt and Tennessee.

With that said, Alabama needs to learn to handle success better during the 2025 season. Touchdown Alabama explains why the Crimson Tide need to do so in order to sustain success better in 2025.

Second-year head coach Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide will look to build off of a 9-4 season in 2024. That is not the standard that Alabama fans or people within the building are accustomed to. It is foreign for an Alabama team to struggle like last year’s team did.

It seemed like every time that Alabama would win a big game the team would respond with a lackluster performance. The Crimson Tide were unable to stack strong performances on top of one another. That narrative will need to change moving forward.

In 2025, Alabama will need to be a team that is able to achieve success and quickly move on in preparing for its next opponent. The SEC is becoming more and more difficult each year. It is crucial that Alabama can respond to a win with another win. The Crimson Tide will have to stack as many wins together as possible to have the best chance to compete for an SEC title and national title.

Several players have been vocal about returning to “The Alabama Standard” this offseason. The team will need to band together and make an asserted effort to be able to handle success better in 2025. If not, the Crimson Tide will be in a similar position to 2024 — on the outside looking in.
